It has excellent rail communications from Ambergate to Derby or Matlock. Derby is a mainline station with national connections. From Matlock, one can connect to the Peak Rail Service.

Directions to Woodside:
Junction 25 off M1, Travel A52 onto A38. A38 towards Ripley. Upon reaching Ripley turn onto A610 and proceed until signs for Railway are shown. Follow signs onto Station Approach, proceed up until you reach a large Car park. Woodside House overlooks this car park.
